The SAMSUNG T240HD HDTV monitor looks more like artwork than a high-performance video display. It features Touch of Color, a built-in full HD 1080p digital HDTV tuner, so you can watch both TV and HDTV, and 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio for sharp images. Beautifully designed, the T240HD is unlike any monitor you have ever seen.

Pros: Beautiful monitor, hdmi, remote, price.
Cons: Buzzing noise with high brightness.
As a TV, this monitor is perfect because the sound is on and you will not notice the buzzing sound. However, when you use this as a computer monitor, you WILL notice the buzzing sound.By default, the brightness setting is set to 100. The buzzing IS caused from the brightness, NOT the audio. I toned down the brightness to about 35, which makes buzzing low enough to not notice it unless you really concentrate, while this is still bright enough for everyday use.I did a quick google search for "samsung t240hd buzzing", and sure enough lots of people have this problem. Some have replaced the monitor, but all replacements share the same problem. I decided to keep the monitor because the low brightness actually works for me in my low-light office, but I would not buy again.

Pros: Excellent picture quality and outstanding as a PC monitor. Works well with XP, and MS just released a driver update for it.
Cons: As others have said, sound is very weak, but OK for PC use. Not happy with the tuner, will not unscramble QAM cable channels like my XBR6. XBR gets 127 channels, this one 99.
Setup was a little tricky, had to set all parameters using the old monitor, to the point where I would only need to hit the "enter" key. Hot swapped the two monitors, hit enter, and got the monitor working! It's been stable and perfect ever since. Buydig did an excellent job of geting this product to me in great shape and in less than expected deliver time.

Pros: Size, resolution, clarity (as a monitor), TV tuner, a ridiculous array of inputs, price, and value versus cost.
Cons: The ability to force the monitor into a one-to-one pixel mapping with the video card, but since my video card can run at the monitor's native resolution of 1920x1200, this may be a non-issue.
Bought this for my wife's birthday because she wanted something bigger than her current 17" monitor (can you blame her?). She's not see it yet but I've been testing it and I may have to buy one for myself - it's that good. As a monitor running at its native resolution its display is eye candy. If your running XP, I strongly recommend the Microsoft ClearType Tuner power toy. A setting of 1.2 works very well with my Nvidia video card.I'm amazed that I can buy such capability for $300. US. Over-the_air HD broadcasts from local stations are flawless.

Pros: Brilliant picture both as PC and HDTV. The sound quality is acceptable for a desktop HDTV. Love it!
Cons: None yet.
It is a refurbished unit but looks and preforms as new. The piano black frame is very attractive. Great monitor, and HDTV. Great price. The menu offers broad control.I am very pleased.

Pros: (see below)
Cons: (see below)
Pros: First of all, this monitor arrived with no dead/stuck pixels. The performance is solid: no noticeable blurring during movies & games, good color accuracy, and reasonable viewing angles for a TN panel. When using HDMI, you can set the picture mode to 16:9, so HD signals retain their aspect ratio (aka black bars on top & bottom of screen). This feature is not available in the non-HD model, the T240. Also, the TV tuner works great. There seem to be rumors of this monitor having high input lag - even if that's true, it's not noticeable at all to me. Relatively low energy consumption is a big plus. Did I mention...the bezel looks awesome! Cons: A bit pricey - you're paying extra for the HDTV tuner and the artwork (which IMO is worth it because it's rare to see such elegance in monitors). Slight backlight bleed on the edges (all LCDs will have this, unless they're LED backlit). Probably a pro, but this monitor's way too bright on default settings - had to turn it down to 30-40 for my eyes. The T240 has a USB hub, this one doesn't. Lacks height & rotate adjustments. Other Thoughts: The bottom line: If you want a 24" high-performance TN panel monitor that also has a sleek design, go for this and pay the extra ~$50-100 for it; you'll also get an HDTV tuner. If all you care about is performance, look at other Samsungs; or an HP, Dell, Acer, or BenQ.
